Mathex

On Wednesday the 13 of August we had a mathex competition.Precilla, Rainnie, Tahsin and Courtney were competing with the middle senior classes. Miss Emma and Miss Phipps were in charge of the mathex competition. Every team had a runner. Courtney was the runner for the mathex. Courtney, Precilla, Rainnie and Tahsin were real quick at answering the questions. At the end Miss Emma and Miss Phipps told us who the winners. The winning class was room 15. They scored 180 points. On Friday when we went to the assembly we got a prize. The prize that we got were two packets of connect four.

Ritik and Denzels cross country trip

            Cross country

On Tuesday the 17^th June 2014 the Rosebank cross country team went to Crum Park. There were 8 Schools. First it started off with the 7 year old girls then came the 7 year old boys. It ended with the 11 year old girls then the 11 year old boys. After all the racing, all the schools went back to school or home. The cross country team had lots of fun. It was a great day at Crum Park but it was muddy and rainy. By Ritik and Denzel.

interschool

INTERSCHOOL!!!!

Go Rosebank. This term we have done one game for interschool. There are 4 sports in interschool and they are soccer, ripper rugby, netball and hockey. It was Rosebank School against New Windsor School. It was really fun when I versed my first school in interschool I really enjoyed it because it had lots of running and soccer is a really good sport in interschool because it has lots of fitness my game was really fun because I was sweating and I got to kick the ball .New Windsor was a good and fun team to play with and if you haven’t tried out for soccer you should because it has lots of fitness and if you get a goal good for you good luck everyone that wants to try.

                         Star dome                         

  Term 1 on Monday room 15 went to the star dome we went on the bus and it was about 15 minutes to get there. We finally got there and we had to go sit on the wet grass.

When we finally got in the star dome we were in groups firstly we went in this theater. There were really soft seats and they kind of went down. So we could watch the movie that was on top of us.

Secondly we got out of there. We split in to groups to look around in groups we saw some moon and star things. All of us went into this room and a man named David talk about Matariki and the being in space. He showed us a clip of a man in space brushing his teeth.

Thirdly we came out of the room and went into the bus class by class then while we were going there was so much noise so Mrs Kissel said to be quiet and wait so we sat there quietly then we arrived so we got out and said to the bus driver thanks and then I wrote about the trip at the star dome.

Lastly we went to class and had some lunch after that we wrote about the trip to the star dome.

Our class lolly experiment 

We have been learning about observations and noticing and recording changes.

OUR PREDICTION: In the lolly experiment the skin might come off.

If you put a lolly in water it will go smaller if you wait for a little while.

CONCLUSION: After all the lollies were finished the layers came off. Also the colours came off and they were on the sides.
