Our end of year celebration

We had a shared lunch on Wednesday we invited the parents and it was great that some parents were able to join us.

We had lots of delicious food to chose from and lots of pizza. Thank you to all the wonderful parents who provided all the food and drink.

We enjoyed listening to music and some of the boys even did some dancing.

Tug-o-war competition with room 15

On Tuesday  morning room 15 participated in a tug go war competition with the middle and senior school. 

Here we are in our first tug of war. We competed hard and won our first 2 rounds easily against room 14, it was a year 3/4 class that we versed.

We made it into the semi finals where we were versing Room 14 a year 5/6 class. We were nervous but Miss Hughes said be strong and courageous and to do our best.

Here we are getting ready. Now we are waiting for Mr Oslo to give the signal to start pulling.

We pulled hard

 We continue to pull hard our hands were hurting but we kept pulling and doing our best

Finally we won, we won the first round and room 14 won the second one so we had to verse each other one more time to find out who the winning team going into the semi finals was. We were victorious and we bet room 14. Now we are in the semi-finals. We ended up versing room 18, we tried our best and we gave them a challenge but eventually they won. We were proud of our effort and Miss Hughes was really happy with our courage and strength that we displayed during the competition.

AFL training skills with St Kilda team.

At AFL (Australiain football league) we were learning how to do a drop punt, you had to point your feet in the direction you want the ball to go and kick.

This is Jerry from the team called saints and he taught us how to drop punt and he is teaching us how to kick like a AFL player on the feld.

Maison is trying to do a drop punt, it looks like he is doing good with the kick, he's getting ready for the high drop punt.

This is when they talked to us and were showing us how to kick and what they do in AFL.

Denzel is working with St Kilda's best player Jerry is the superstar of the team.

The team were asking us questions and if we got the answer right they gave us a St. Kilda ball to keep.

The people in our class who won a ball got the players to sign it for them.

Sports day

Rosebank School had their Sports day on 10 November.

On sports day we did lots of athletics and rotation activity games one of the rotation games we played was crab soccer. Crab soccer was difficult for most of us because we had to make a bridge like a crab. Our favourite rotation game was the hurdles and tug of war. The most important thing was having fun and doing our best 

The running sprints was the last activity of the day followed by a tug of war between the students and the teachers and parents.

We has an enjoyable day where we participated in lots of activities and supported the athletics from room 15 that competed in events.
